Breaking Ground on Alexandria’s New Water Tower

ALP Utilities has officially broken ground on a new water tower that will strengthen Alexandria’s water system and prepare our community for continued growth.

Located at 1902 Co Rd 82 NW, this project will provide increased water storage, improved water pressure and fire protection and great operational efficiency, helping us deliver safe, reliable water to customers for decades to come.

Construction is expected to be complete in fall 2027.

“The new water tower is a vital investment in Alexandria’s future,” said Brian Dahl, Water Distribution Manger at ALP Utilities. “It will provide the storage and reliability needed to meet increasing demand, strengthening fire protection, and ensure our customers continue to have safe, clean water every day.”

The ground breaking brought together ALP leadership and city officials to mark this important milestone in our long-term infrastructure plans.

From installing Advanced Metering Infrastructure to undergrounding powerlines and building our new Operations Center, this project is part of our ongoing commitment to planning ahead and investing in the essential services our community depends on.

We’re excited to watch the tower take shape and we’re looking forward to sharing progress updates along the way.
