About the Planned Outage

ALP is planning a temporary power outage on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 from 9:00am for approximately 5 hours affecting customers in the Lake Carlos & Lake Le Homme Dieu Area (see below map for exact area covered).
The outage is needed for our crews to replace the existing switch box located at the intersection of County Road 42 and North Nokomis, so it can connect and control the new underground electric system. The new equipment will allow crews to safely isolate sections of the system and reroute power when needed, ultimately improving reliability.
We know an outage of any length can be disruptive, and we appreciate your patience while work is completed.
Who will be affected?

FAQ’s
Before the outage begins, we recommend taking a few simple steps:

- Keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible during the outage.
- If your garage door requires electricity, know how to use the manual release if needed.
- If your home relies on a private well, remember that your well pump needs electricity to operate, so plan ahead for limited or no running water during the outage.
