HeatShare is a voluntary nongovernmental program of the Salvation Army and is sponsored by Alexandria Light and Power. It is designed to assist those in need with heating bills during the winter season.

Your neighbors, your friends, people in big cities, people in small towns and business all help with HeatShare. When you give to HeatShare, you are helping warm the lives of the elderly, disabled and others who have nowhere else to turn. HeatShare is a last resort for many who have no other resources available to see them through the winter.

You can help by sending a tax deductible contribution to ALP. Your contribution will be used for those in need in the Alexandria area. You can make a one-time contribution by submitting it to our office. Please make your check payable to HeatShare. Or, you may make a monthly contribution and it will appear as a line item on your monthly bill. To participate in monthly contributions, you may call our office or complete and submit the following on-line form:
